Sarafino T. Saraf, age 92, passed away on April 2, 2016 in Arcadia, FL. He was born on May 10, 1923 in Provo, Utah. Mr. Saraf was a SGT in the Army Air Corps serving during WWII and was stationed in Stomara, Italy, with the 456 Bomber Grp. He married Rosemary Szatkowski on July 31, 1949 and retired from Harrison Radiator after 30 years in 1979. He played semi-pro football with Esso team of Lockport, enjoyed time with family, traveling, fishing, reading, playing cards, bocce, lawn bowling, shuffle board and watched sports and Lawrence Welk on TV. When in Florida, Mr. Saraf delivered Meals on Wheels, worked bingo and looked forward yearly to attending Lockport Days. He was a blood donor having donated 30 gallons and took the special trip to Washington, DC on W.N.Y. Honor Flight in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Szatkowski Saraf; children, S. Theodore, Jr., Thomas, Elaine (David) Meincke and Judy (Garry) Jennings; grandchildren, Thomas, Catrina and Nicolette Saraf, Alison (Richard) VanHorn, Matthew and Andrew Meincke, Steven (Lindsay), Summer and Spencer Saraf and Laura, Brian and Kevin (Lauren) Jennings and great grandchildren, Fredrick, Ian, Macy, Madison, Zachary, Ethan and Emily. Predeceased by his son, Steven.
