Obituary of Donna Lee Buras

Donna Lee Buras of Harper, TX, formerly of Lockport, NY, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Born on July 4, 1933, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Howard Toth and late Daniel Todero. Donna graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing, Buffalo on March 10, 1967, with a Registered Nursing degree. Donna was a gifted and dedicated nurse who loved her career. She worked in many different aspects of nursing over the years: doctors’ offices, private duty and especially enjoyed working in the prison system. Donna retired from occupational nursing at Delphi in 2008 when she became the full-time caregiver for her mother, a true labor of love. Donna was the wife of the late Richard Buras; mother of Patricia (John) Hill, Charles (Vicki) Conklin, late Richard Conklin, and Mark Conklin; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 14; sister of the late Patricia Shaw and aunt of Peter (late Karen) Shaw. Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 30th from 11am – 1pm at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A funeral service will follow. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery.
