My Dear Fran, I didn't know you for long, but you welcomed me as a (grandma-in-law) with a warm smile and hug, I saw your loving and kind eyes.
(As we get older, we (SOFTEN UP) and show what's really in our hearts. (Not the TUFF OUTER SHELL), we present to survive life's ups and downs when younger, and others judge us by.
Your warm loving kindness to all your family, grand and great grandchildren were felt and seen by many.

As a former son-in-law, I had lots of opportunities to tease Fran, and I seldom passed one up. I enjoyed getting a rise out of her, and was fortunate to take advantage during a recent visit in September. Fran frequently shared a story of the time she rode with me from Thousand Oaks CA to the beach in Malibu. On a winding canyon road I gave her the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride treatment. She spent a good part of the trip tucked under the dashboard so she didn't have to watch. Not certain, but she may have asked me to pull over at one point so she could hurl. Ah, memories... I loved Fran, and miss her already. Neil
