Obituary of Bonnie L. Smith

Bonnie L. Smith of Lockport, NY passed away on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at home. Born on April 12, 1945 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Robert and Rachel Moyer Simons. Bonnie worked in her father’s restaurant, Simey’s Diner at an early age and was a Registered Nurse and had worked at the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle, Millard Fillmore Suburban and Millard Fillmore Surgery Center.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 53 years David K. Smith; children, Jeffrey (Chris) Smith and RaeAnn Smith; grandchildren, Lauren Smith and Maddie and Jacob Taylor; siblings, Roberta (Dennis) MacDonald, Robert (Sheila) Simons and James (Leigh Ann) Simons; in-laws, Richard Pickard and Diana Smith and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Marianne Pickard.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Niagara Hospice, Inc. or Charity of One’s Choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
