Helen I. Eakin Eakin, Helen I. of Lockport, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday August 30, 2008 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on August 21, 1914 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Leah Hodges Johnson. She worked at Mattioli Florist for many years and was a long time member of Wayside Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman D. Eakin, in 1990, her daughter, Betsy Goupil, and her brothers, Millard and Robert Johnson. She is survived by her children, Linda (William) Smith of AZ and Richard (Colleen) Eakin of Lockport, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Wayside Presbyterian Church, S5017 Lakeshore Rd., Hamburg, NY 14075.
