Obituary of Virginia I. Barnes

Barnes, Virginia I. of Sanborn, passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2008 in Quinlivan Outpatient Rehab. Facility. Born on September 8, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter of William and Hilda O’Neil Wilson, stepdaughter of Laverne Ames. Mrs. Barnes worked at Montgomery Ward and Central Tractor before retiring. Mrs. Barnes was predeceased by her husband, Wilson G. Barnes, Jr. who died on July 30, 2002. They were married on October 4, 1946. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her children, Wilson G. (Christine) Barnes, III and Nancy (William) Dettbarn both of Lockport, two grandchildren, Jason (Melisa) Dettbarn and Kari Anne Dettbarn, one great granddaughter Lucy Dettbarn, a brother, Earl (Anna) Wilson of CA, two brothers in –law, Robert (Frieda) Barnes of PA and Emerson (Donna) Barnes of Lockport, two sisters in-law, Mary Jane Wilson and Sharon (John) Roy both of Lockport and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, William Wilson. Friends may call on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc. 186 East Ave. where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM.
