Obituary of Betty J. Confer

Betty J. Confer Confer, Betty J. of Lockport passed away on Friday June 8, 2007 at home. Born on June 7, 1927 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Robert H. and Dorothy A. Bars Bell. In the late ‘40’s and early ‘50’s, she worked for Archer Daniels Midland and in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s she was a secretary for the Corn Exchange in Buffalo. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and was very devoted to her family. Her husband, Donald F. Confer, predeceased her in 1998. She is survived by her children, Karen (Dan) Sherwood and Mark A. Confer both of Lockport, one grandson, Frank L. Fidanza IV, step grandchildren, Andrea R. Sherwood, Derrick L. (Sue) Sherwood and Ryan Sherwood, one step great grandson,Connor Sherwood, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery.
