Obituary of Gladys M. Confer

Gladys M. Confer Confer, Gladys M. of Lockport, passed away on Tuesday December 19, 2006 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on September 10, 1922 in Barker, she was the daughter of Lloyd E. and Minnie M. Calkins Gifford. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Lockport Savings Bank and as a payroll clerk at Norton Lab. She enjoyed vacations to Hawaii, Switzerland, Germany and traveled throughout the States, working crossword puzzles and reading. She was a reading grandmother at Dewitt Clinton and Gasport Elementary Schools, part of The Intergenerational Reading Program of The Dale Association. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Roger) Seward of TN and Douglas (Cheryl) Confer of Gasport, her grandchildren, Bob Confer and Connie Confer, her great granddaughter, Annaleha Ray Confer, her sister, Sue (Edward) Arnold of Oakfield and several nieces and nephews.
