Obituary of Nancyann S. Jesson

Jesson, Nancyann Bathurst Squire, of Akron and formerly of Lockport, passed away on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at home. Born on February 9, 1934 in Albion, NY, she was the daughter of Artemus J. and Rev. Myrtle Bathurst Squire. Nancyann graduated from Lockport High School and married her husband of 61 years, John R. Jesson on March 29, 1952. She worked as Assistant Manager at Akron Airport for 31 years and had her pilots license. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, visiting family and friends. Nancyann was a member of Lockport Alliance Church where she enjoyed singing, playing violin and serving on the music ministry team. Over the years she has focused on prayer and financial support for International Missions. Surviving is her husband, John R. Jesson; her children, Andrew (Wendelyn) Jesson of CA, Rebecca (Paul) Helwig of OH, Cheryl (Craig) Patterson of FL, Sue Meadows of Lockport, Ruth (Frank) Cleere of North Chili, NY, Jule (Jeff) Dieter of Greece, NY, Juanita (Paul) Burke of TN, Tim (Stephanie) Jesson of NM and John (Miyung) Jesson of TX; 30 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 from Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo, The Great Commission fund of The CMA Church or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
