It is with the deepest sadness that I heard of this news on Friday. Since then I have be unable to stop thinking about many of the good memories I have had of Joe. I have known Joe for over 25 years and he has been a close friend. I remember the generosity and hospitality of Joe and his family and having dinner at his home every Sunday for many years. I remember Joe as someone would always quickly bounce back from lifes tragedies such as when his second wife, Patricia, passed away with cancer. I remember the excitement in Joes voice and eyes when he first met his survived fiancee Caroline Alabiso. I remember Joes stories of when he was in the Navy and his magazine business he built up. I remember Joe would always be there to give me advice on any major life decisions. I remember the lunches we shared any time I was in town. What I remember most about Joe, is someone that led a rich an active life, a very happy and loveable person whom had a tremendous influence on my life and acted as a second father to me when I needed it most. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Carol, friends and family. Dean Agostini Carol, Really sorry to hear about Joe, I know you will miss him terribly. Rose Mary Joe's dedication to his business and his client's will always be in my memories. He was constantly striving to improve himself and was a pleasure to be around. To the family of Joe White. I only recently met Joe. I first met him during an alarm call at his home a few months ago where the wind set off his burglar alarm. A few short weeks later, I ran into Joe again on a rescue call in front of the Shamus Restaurant where Joe had fallen on the sidewalk. I was then shocked to learn of his passing so soon after I had met him. It was amazing to me that in such a small town I had never met an impressive a person as Joe before our recent encounters. During the alarm call at his home, I spoke at length with Joe about all manner of things. I was impressed that despite his health issues (shihc appeared significant), he was a very jovial person, telling me about his accounting experiences and personal history. I found him to be a very intelligent, approachable and friendly person. He was also armed with quite a bit of information about police department history and knew many of our retired officers - and more importantly recalled many humorous stories about them. I cannot wait to confront several of these retired officers to relay the stories as told to me by Joe. On behalf of the Lockport Police Department, my family and myself, please accept our condolences on Joe's passing. We will keep Joe and your family in our prayers.
