I'm so very sorry for your loss. My father was recently in the hospital and Fred was his roommate. Although the circumstances weren't ideal, we were lucky enough to get to know him a little bit. We quickly learned that Fred was extremely kindhearted and had a great sense of humor. The world lost a great man and I can only assume that Fred touched the lives many others as well. With deepest sympathy. Fred, Beth, Jennica, Courtney and Katie, We are very saddened to hear of the loss of your father and grandfather. We know you enjoyed your trips visiting with him in New York. We're sure he was a good man having served our country in the Marines and raising such a fine family. Our prayers are with you and all your families. Sharon and I send our deepest sympathy to all of freds family. Sharon and rich(herbie) schottler I knew Frederick as Freddie when he was a State Trooper in Brewster, New York. Freddie did all the landscaping at my Dad's Restaurant in his off hours and I spent a lot of time with him as I helped him and he taught me about plants. He was larger than life and brightened up many a lonely day for me. When my cat was killed on Rt 22, Freddie pulled me out if the road, retreived the cat and helped me bury him. I am sad for your loss. He was a wonderful man. Brigitte Janouen Spinda ;
