Bruning, Nelda A. of Middleport, NY passed away on Monday September 22, 2014 in Medina Memorial Hospital. Born on August 10, 1927 in Royalton, NY, she was the daughter of William and Irene Reabold Brucker. Nelda was a retired Bank Teller at the former Marine Midland Bank in Middleport; she was active with the Newfane and Wolcottsville Seniors and enjoyed camping, playing Scrabble, reading, playing cards and garage sales. She was predeceased by her husband, Glen M. Bruning, February 6, 2010. Wife of the late Glen M. Bruning, mother of the late Wayne G. Bruning and sister of the late Howard Brucker, Nelda is survived by her son, Paul W. (Sherl) Bruning of Gasport, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Grace Brucker and Geraldine Fry and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday 4:00 8:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Pioneer Cemetery, Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY 14001, or Hospice of Orleans County Inc., 14080 State Route 31, Albion, NY 14411.
