Roadarmel, Betty C., formerly of Lockport, NY passed away on Friday January 27, 2012 in Rochester, NY. Born on January 26, 1920 in Lockport, NY she was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Korff Lawrence. Betty and her husband of 68 years, Harold L. Roadarmel were married on December 24, 1937 in Lockport, NY and he passed away on December 28, 2005. She was a sales clerk at Williams Brothers and a department manager at Twin Fair, retiring in 1982. She volunteered for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, as a classroom aide at DeWitt Clinton School, Healthy Heart and helped with many fund fundraisers for her church fairs and other organizations. Betty was a life time member of the Town of Lockport Historical Society – Pomeroy School, First English Lutheran Church, former superintendent and teacher of Sunday school and PTA, former President of Charlotte Cross PTA. She was an avid Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed cruises with her late husband, Harold including ones to Hawaii, The Caribbean, the Panama Canal and St. Thomas. Predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Roadarmel, she is survived by her children, Susan Johnson (Stephen Osborne) of Rochester, NY, C. Gail (James) Thomas of Victor, NY, Robert (Lynne) Roadarmel of VA, a foster son, William (Gale) Boyce of MA, 5 grandchildren, Kristen (Patrick) Guider, Jeffrey (Sharleen) Johnson, Lindsay (Todd) Kramer, Michael (Ledy) Roadarmel and Brynton Thomas, 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Phyllis Page of Louisiana, dear friend, Harold Heinz and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St., Lockport, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
