Obituary of William H. Wasson DDS

William H. Wasson, DDS Wasson DDS, William H. of Lockport, NY passed away on Tuesday January 4, 2011 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Heath Care Facility. Born on September 3, 1918 in Lackawanna, NY, he was the son of Samuel and E. Fern Holmes Wasson. Dr. Wasson married his wife, the former Betty McCandless on March 21, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943 until 1946. Dr. Wasson graduated from U.B. Dental School and had his dental office in his home for years before joining Lockport Dental Group and retiring in 1990. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the 8th District Dental Society and was an avid golfer, bowler and bridge player. Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Betty McCandless Wasson, three children, Constance (Larry) Pundt of CO, Paul R. (Barbra) Wasson and Marguerite “Peggy” (Lynn) Durkee all of Lockport, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Jane Packard and Mary Clark. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM from Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Avenue, Lockport, NY. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery.
