Ron & I wish to extend our sympathy to the family. Miss Laird will be missed by both of us. She was a very cheerful and thoughtful person. Joan Bower I taught with Jean for many years at North Park. The best one word description of Jean is: LADY - with all caps. She was a lovely person and whenever we bumped into one another since retirement we had a good time discussing travel. I have no doubt that she will be missed. Legendary for her bright mind, wide interests, warmth, and charm, Jean was the consummate lady. An excellent role model not only for her students, but for all who knew her, she had a positive impact on countless lives. This gracious lady shall be sorely missed. My sympathy to Jean's family and friends. I remember Jean as a judge of my 4-H presentations many years ago. She always had a smile and kind comments. It was good to renew acquaintances with her just this past year at a few social events. We were fortunate enough to visit with cousin Jean last August on our way home from Niagra, Canada. Jean was such a lovely host showing us pictures of our extended family in NY. Wish were able to come to the service today to see everyone. Cousin Jean will be missed. She was truly a wonderful and interesting person. My sympathies go to Jean's family and friends. I am a distant cousin, (Allen Dutcher's daughter)that had the sheer pleasure of visiting with Jean a small handful of times through the years. Jean was truly a lovely woman, a gracious host, and very warm and friendly to share company with. I will miss exchanging holiday cards and sharing information. God Bless. Jean, was a lovely person, great hostess and good friend to my mother Donna and myself. I will miss her. My deepest sympathies to Jean's family. ;
